Fourth “Night of Sheep”

Velomax is hosting a cosy networking event

Velomax Berlin Hallenbetriebs GmbH hosted its now-traditional “Night of Sheep” on the green roof of the Max-Schmeling-Halle. A good 250 invited guests from the worlds of culture, business, media, and the events industry answered the call to the roof. Thanks to the recently won contract to continue operating the two Velomax arenas, the fourth edition of the Night of Sheep was able to go ahead under “old” patronage, featuring city panoramas, funky sounds from DJ Pat Cavaleiro, grazing Guteschaf sheep, and black cardboard sheep.

The event has now established itself as a fixture on the calendar marking the start of the indoor season. The “animal lawnmowers”—Guteschaf sheep from Brandenburg—not only kept the green spaces on the arena roof well-manicured but also provided charming photo opportunities and put guests, staff, and passersby in a good mood.

Culinary-wise, Velomax focused on variety and regional ingredients. The catering partner treated guests to a diverse selection of vegan and vegetarian dishes. A culinary statement for sustainability that perfectly matched the evening’s concept. Velomax’s public catering will also feature additional vegetarian and vegan products in the upcoming season, in line with the spirit of the times and the operator’s sustainability efforts.

“It is a matter close to our hearts to spend this special evening together with our partners and customers before we kick off a well-booked 2025/26 season featuring numerous concerts and our highly successful home teams in handball and volleyball,” said Sybil Franke and Sebastian Rüß, managing directors of Velomax Berlin Hallenbetriebs GmbH.
